Upside Down is a project which intends to combine local valorization and digital innovation through the use of 3D technologies. The process involves an initial phase of community engagement in which a number of objects that represent the identity of the place are identified. These are then digitized through special scanners and then artistically re-interpreted to create a new experience of cultural enjoyment.
The place of intervention for the first Upside Down experimentation is Casertavecchia, a village with strong folk roots where, through the community hub La Finestra, we have been promoting socio-cultural initiatives shared with the community for years. Upside Down was born from a collaboration with 3DXR and is a winner of the Ministry of Culture’s TOCC ‘Digital Transition for Cultural and Creative Organizations’ call for proposals.
