With Frattastica, we designed a participatory process to imagine a city where school mobility becomes more autonomous and sustainable. The process involved the small community of Fratta (Emilia Romagna) in order to imagine together actions capable of making the town an even more pleasant place to spend time. Through a series of engagement activites with the citizens, we first mapped the territory and tried to build a community with which to co-design shared and experimental actions to make Fratta a place where children can go to school together, independently and safely, where school mobility becomes sustainable and where all inhabitants can find places and opportunities for socialising.
